Joad's music

the music's like orange juice flowing through your ears
the music never gets over
asking where i've been ?
i've been happy, haven't i?
yes, now i run errands in pink coated candy-shops
im the candy shop boy
but i never liked candy myself
never liked candy, have i?
cant tell you now cause the trumpet's taken over
it has the piano drowned
but not for long
not for long now is it?
its a wild wild west coffee shop love story
with cowboy guitarists
playing an earth song
abundant in soft-hearted murders
served as orange juice which will flow through your ears.

everyday nights

I

lonely people ,
form round table squads.
play twister,
play risk.

dreamer boys
sit red eyed in circles
dreaming
hurting.

all the waking
stare aghast,
blasphemous boys.
pity.

II

soft guitar strums
lead the way to melodious
harmonicas
as the fellas
scream of peace
in time of war.
the boy waits
and the poet watches
as dreams of glass
push thru eyes
glazed in innocence
lost to a woman
with a hurting smile.

III

lonely boy,
sits alone,
laughs a lot
cries going to bed.

young man,
folds his broken dreams
posts out
to an unknown address.

the reaper,
glides through realms of brother dream
stops,
touches our sleeping hero.
